Fancy Nancy is my nick-name. I'm a fun-loving lady that enjoys trying new things. I come from a small town called Pietermaritzburg that I endearingly refer to as "Sleepy Hollow". Having grown up in what is a predominantly agricultural town I have developed a taste for life through my passion for fashion, baking and yoga. It was my adventure streak which was one of the main motivators for my career choice in engineering. Now living in Durban - I am a mechanical engineering graduate working in heavy industry as a materials and corrosion engineer.
I have resolved to take on the dual challenge of raising
funds for the charity organisation RedR and climbing the highest peak in Africa,
highest freestanding mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro. Join me on this
blog as I embark on the journey of a lifetime to make a difference!
